DELHI, ON -

The Norfolk OPP are treating a barn fire in Delhi this week as a possible arson.

Firefighters were called to a derelict farm at 124 Hawtrey Road around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday. The front of the barn was fully engulfed when they arrived.

“The flames were shooting through the roof,” said 12-year-old Addison Dwornikiewicz, who lives across the road from the fire scene.

Eight-year-old Carter Dwornikiewicz added that the attending firefighters had the situation under control in no time.

No injuries were reported. Total damage is estimated at $115,000.
