Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod is making it official: She's running for the Ontario PC leadership.

And she's launching her bid in Ottawa.

The event will happen Oct. 19 at the National Arts Centre.

MacLeod and her supporters have made it no secret she would enter the race to succeed former PC leader Tim Hudak.

She joins MP Patrick Brown and MPPs Christine Elliott, Vic Fedeli and Monte McNaughton in the leadership race.

The party will choose a leader May 9.
