It was another brief court appearance for accused murderer Boris Panovski as the Crown and defense will attempt to iron out a date for a preliminary hearing over the next week.

Panovski, 70, is currently being held at the Toronto South Detention Centre.

He appeared in Goderich court on Thursday morning.

The matter was adjourned until May 28 to allow Panovski to apply for Legal Aid and for the preliminary hearing date to be agreed upon.

A judicial pretrial is ongoing, with the two sides last meeting on May 15.

Panovski is charged with the murder of Don Frigo and the attempted murder of his wife Eva Willer Frigo in connection to a shooting at the Hullett Marsh near Clinton, Ontario last September.
