Hundreds of people attended the 4th annual Mount Elgin Family Fun Day Saturday at the Mount Elgin Community Centre and Ball Park.

It was a windy day for the Bubble Centre and Mount Elgin United Church's Ball Toss Game.

"I'm glad we tied this down," said Lynn Blum from the Mount Elgin 4-H Club, with the wind pulling on their shelter while 4-H members provided tatoos and face painting.

Other fun stations included a mini firefighter course, Ontario Early Years parachute games, inflatable 'bouncies', a balloon artist, and ring toss game. Indoor entertainment included Vogel Joy, Kennedy's Kritters and Mad Science.

The Mount Elgin Community Centre hall board's list of sponsors – and thank yous – is a long one this year.

"These are the businesses and Service Clubs who gave us donations to help support the day – I think they're all listed here," said Carol Anderson, pulling out an updated list that included Belore Trailers, Green Lea Ag Services, Hometown Country Market, B Line Trucking, Salford Farm Equipment, MGS Tool (Mike Shaw), Oxford Trophies, Prouse Transport, Pro Rich Seeds, Pioneer Hi-Bred Ltd (Rick VanLeeuwen), Bergland Transport, D&J Paton, D&R Farm Automation Inc., Studer's Ice, LPL Plumbing, Woodstock and Area Community Health Network, Township of South-West Oxford, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Area, Dereham District Lions, Stewart Construction, Foodland Ingersoll, Giant Tiger Ingersoll, No Frills Woodstock, Mount Elgin Golf Club, Oxford OPP, EMS, Tillsonburg 107.3, Jade Engineering, P&H Ltd, The Shed Shop, Dewit Family Produce, Mount Elgin Service Station, Mount Elgin Women's Institute, Mount Elgin United Church, Mount Elgin Library, Mount Elgin Community Centre Hall Board, Mount Elgin firefighters, Mount Elgin 4-H Club, and Mount Elgin Recreation Committee.
