Spoilers gonna spoil. Especially with a TV show as ripe as Game of Thrones.

Some new paparazzi pics from the set of HBO’s epic fantasy drama popped up online this week, seeming to show – spoilers ahead, obviously – a meeting between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the dynamic duo of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).

One relatively clear series of shots, taken on set in Spain and posted by TMZ, shows Jon Snow shaking hands with Tyrion, surrounded by Daenerys’ Dothraki soldiers and each side’s advisors, including Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) and Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel.)

A much blurrier shot, tweeted by a French Game of Thrones fan site and posted by TheWrap.com, shows Daenerys meeting with someone in a heavy fur coat, who may or may not be Jon Snow.

But are these really spoilers for the upcoming seventh season? Nah. Game of Throne fans have been anticipating this team-up since April, when it was revealed that Jon Snow is actually Daenerys’ nephew – something neither one of them knows just yet – and when Dany and her forces set off across the Narrow Sea to claim the Iron Throne. Really, it was just a matter of time.

But hey, if this makes the spoiler gatherers feel like they’ve seized on something important, more power to them. Maybe it will keep them distracted enough to not ruin a genuine surprise. And maybe dragons will fly out of our butts.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones debuts next summer on HBO Canada.
