Hamilton, ON, April 1, 2010 – Brad, Janet, Frank’n’Furter, and all the characters from the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show, come to life on the Theatre Aquarius stage starting April 20th.

“For some people this show is a trip down Nostalgia Lane but for Rock Virgins, it’s an experience like no other,” says Artistic Director Ron Ulrich, “It’s a little bit naughty, a tiny bit frothy and an unbelievable amount of fun. Hamilton is going to have a good time.”

Briefly, Rockytells the story of Brad Majors and his fiancée Janet Weiss. When their car breaks down on a dark and stormy night, the two young lovers seek refuge at a very strange castle that just happens to be nearby. The score features such classic songs as the Time Warp, Damn it, Janet and Sweet Transvestite and many others. The film version has become a worldwide staple of midnight screenings and a Must-See event for millions of people around the planet.

Directed by Ron Ulrich and choreographed by Dayna Tekatch, The Rocky Horror Show stars Ian Deakin, Eddie Glen, Sean Hauk, Larry Mannell, Cameron MacDuffee, Jamie McKnight, Devra Straker, Amanda Struthmann and Dayna Tietzen. The design team is comprised of Doug Paraschuk (Sets), Paul Daigle (Costumes) and Louise Guinand (Lights). Beth Bruck is the Stage Manager and Rob Middleton is the Assistant Stage Manager. Michael Barber returns to Aquarius to oversee the Music Direction.

The Rocky Horror Show will begin previews on April 20th with a Pay What You Can Performance. The official opening is April 23rd and the show will run until May 30th. Special packages and midnight performances are available. Tickets are on sale now, and may be ordered on line at www.theatreaquarius.org, by calling the box office at 905.522.7529 (toll free 1.800.465.7529), or in person at the Dofasco Centre for the Arts, 190 King William Street, Hamilton.
