The Norwich Merchants had been playing tight hockey games in recent weeks, but coming up on the losing end including a pair of 5-3 losses to Ayr and Tavistock to close out October. They looked to get things back on track with three games in three nights to open November.

Merchants rebound from opening loss

The Norwich Merchants 50th season kicked off in almost perfect fashion after the team's Fan Fest went over extremely positive and the Nor-Del Arena was packed with fans. The only damper was a 5-3 loss to Woodstock in the homer opener.
