Parade kicks off 100th Calgary Stampede

With the roar of jets overhead, followed by bursts of fireworks exploding over downtown Calgary, the Stampede kicked off its centennial celebration with its traditional parade Friday morning.

Arrest in mail bomb murder

Mounties have laid a first-degree murder charge against the man they believe mailed a bomb that killed a 23-year-old paraplegic single mother here last November.

Ducklings saved from sewer

Emergency responders helped out nine trapped babies and a frantic mother late Monday morning.

Violence at Coldplay concert

Two men had their throats cut Wednesday night as what was supposed to be a good time at a Coldplay concert turned violent.
