Dave Dormer is a general assignment reporter for the Calgary Sun - responsible for covering everything from crime to politics to cutting edge research at the city's universities. He also writes a bi-monthly Sunday brunch column. Originally from B.C., Dave reported at several papers around that province for 10 before coming to Alberta in 2006. An avid snowboarder and adventure racer, Dave is a graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

'Horrific' attack on girl, 5, by huskies

A Calgary man ran to the rescue after two huskies savaged a five-year-old girl in a "horrific attack" at a school in the Silver Springs neighbourhood on Sunday.
