A Treasure Hunt of Heritage Buildings for Canada's 150

In celebration of Canada’s Sesquicentennial the Township of Norwich Municipal Heritage Committee is compiling a list of the buildings still intact that date back to 1867.

We have some structures that are obvious to everyone with visible dating and historic plaques. To move beyond these we are asking private owners who have a wealth of knowledge about their buildings and are able to document the age of these buildings. Public papers, surveys, diaries, or papers available from the Archives or County of Oxford Registry Office may be helpful to those who take pride in these buildings and wish to celebrate their age.

A Power Point presentation of this collection will be presented at our municipal Canada Day celebrations in Otterville this July 1. The photo collection will also be available in the heritage section of the Township of Norwich website. Submissions can be placed with any member of the Municipal Heritage Committee or mailed to The Township of Norwich, Municipal Heritage Committee, 285767 Airport Rd., Norwich On. N0J 1P0
